Crunching the data collected from 2,000 telematics boxes revealed that the worst drivers used over 60% more fuel costing an extra £50 a month. Insurance Premium Tax Doubles in Just Two Years

ipt-taxIt’s bad news for motorists as The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced yet another Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) hike in the autumn statement. IPT was raised from 6% to 9.5% in the summer of 2015 and again to 10% in autumn this year. The latest tax hike will come into effect next summer where IPT will be set at 12%.
